Blast Gates Maximize your Vacuum Pressure
By using a blast gate to shut off lines that are not in use, you can keep the vacuum suction strongest where you need it. This will result in the maximum possible dust or debris extraction at a particular location.
Types – The Blastgate Company offers a full line of standard and custom fabricated blast gates. We also make specialty blast gates such as self-cleaning gates, positive seal (vapor-proof) gates and an automatic blast gate.
Variety of Materials – Construction materials are mild steel, galvanized steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel and all aluminum.
Sizes – Our cast aluminum full blast gate ranges in size from 2” to 24” and our aluminum half gates vary from 3” to 18”.
Quick Delivery – All of our standard stock blast gates ship the same day the order is placed or the next day. Many of our fabricated gates are in stock and can ship with short lead times.

Cast Aluminum Full Blast Gates
Full blast gates (also called cut-offs) are used to open and close branch ducts in a system allowing air to be diverted only to machines that are operating, thus conserving air volume. Sliding galvanized blade features a locking screw for full volume control including balancing.

Cast Aluminum Half Blast Gate
Half blast gates are used when adding a gate to an existing branch duct that is prone to clogging or a very abrasive material as this gate adds no internal obstructions. Galvanized steel slide with locking screw.

Cast Aluminum Self-Cleaning Blast Gate
Self-cleaning gates are the same construction as our full blast gates except the galvanized steel slide moves through the open end to push out debris from wood pulp and sticky materials.

Stainless Steel Fabricated Blast Gates
Stainless steel fabricated gates are constructed from 14 ga. to 11 ga. 304 stainless steel, depending on size. Bolt together body to allow dissassembly for cleaning. Welded collars are standard, angle ring flanges are available. 316 stainless steel is also available.

C.R.S. Cold Rolled Steel Blast Gate
C.R.S. steel blast gates are constructed the same as our stainless steel gates. These gates are more economical than stainless steel when elevated temperature or corrosion resistance is not required.

Pneumatic Cast Aluminum Full Blast Gates
Our air-operated gates are fully automatic using an air cylinder that has power in both directions. Instant open/close. 35 lb. load capacity at 80/90 psi., ¼ in. NPT ports.
No lubrication required, air cylinder is standard.

Pneumatic Fabricated Steel and Stainless Steel Blast Gate
These fabricated gates use the same air cylinder and mounting as the cast aluminum, except the gate is all steel or stainless steel for use in high temperature, food or corrorsive applications.

Electric Operated Cast Aluminum Blast Gates
Electric operated gates use a powerful 12 volt DC motor rated at 5 AMPs. Open/close speed of 2 inches per second. Use of a 10 AMP power transformer is required (able to operate two motors) and reversing switch to operate.

Positive Seal "Vapor Proof" Fabricated Blast Gate
Positive seal, also called "vapor proof" gates, are used in applications that require no external air leakage. Internal leakage is minimal. Not recommended when material is in the air stream. Galvanized steel body is standard, stainless steel is optional.
